We’re delighted to share with you some exciting news about the appointment of our new Rector, Rev’d Dr Ian Mills. This appointment was approved by our respective Parochial Church Councils some weeks ago. It was ratified by our local Deanery (the parishes covering the Chew Valley and adjacent parishes, including Keynsham and Saltford) on 9th October and will come into effect in the coming months.

Ian was a professional musician before taking Holy Orders, having been Organist and Master of the Choristers at Derry Cathedral for several years. He has been Rector of the Parishes comprising the Benefice of Chew Valley West for the past 2 years. The Benefice covers Felton, Winford and Regil, Chew Stoke and Nempnett Thrubwell; our villages fit well geographically within the Benefice.

We’re looking forward to Ian’s appointment and in due course there’ll be an opportunity to meet Ian and welcome him and his wife, Kelly-Ann. In the meantime, each Parish Church will continue to offer the usual service schedule and support as before.
