What a fantastic day this was.  We were slightly nervous due to the threatening rain (of which there was one downpour) but this did not keep the crowds away.

All in all 367 people attended in total – the money from the gate sales goes to the  NGS which is distributed to various charities.  This was less than last year but was to be expected.

The teas, as always, are very popular and in total raised £1232.92 for the church funds, together with the. bric-a-brac stall; which took a further £42, after costs there was a net figure of £1247.95 which is a tremendous amount.  This of course could not have been achieved without the organisation of Elaine Daly, the ladies who baked the cakes and the volunteers who served and cleared up after the event.

Down in Dormers there is a further group of volunteers who were on the gate, sold plants and managed the car parking.  The sale of plants amounted to £712 which also goes towards church funds.  We also kindly received donations amounting to £85.

Special thanks goes to the three garden owners who without, of course, this event could not take place.  It is a hard ask of them all as it consists of days/weeks of preparation and we are very grateful to them.

We could not exist and flourish without the large band of volunteers who support us time and time again – we are so very grateful for your time and commitment and it is never taken for granted so thank you!
