SUMMARY:Royal Arms Restoration - The Conservators Talk
DESCRIPTION:The next stage of the Stowey Revived Project is due to commence on the 13th April and this will entail the restoration of the Royal Arms. \nOur Conservators\, Stephen Rickerby and Lisa Shekede have kindly agreed to hold an informal session to talk about the restoration on Tuesday\, 5th May 2026 – 5.30pm – 6.30pm.  This is a free event and all are welcome but booking is essential as we are limited in numbers. \nPlease email Elaine Daly\, Activities Co-ordinator at stoweyrevived@outlook.com if you would like to come along.

SUMMARY:Come and Try the Organ
DESCRIPTION:This event is specifically designed for young people\, probably from 8 or 9 years of age\, but all are welcome. Eric Tyson of the Bristol & District Organists’ Association\, a very able organist and good communicator\, will lead the session\, with one of our own organists\, Tricia Rees-Jones\, participating. We plan to make it a fun session! And anyone can have a go on the organ. No experience is needed. \n The small and well-maintained organ in Stowey Church is an interesting instrument\, capable of producing an amazing range of sounds\, some of them very loud and a few\, rather rude!  \nIt’s free\, refreshments will be provided and of course we have a loo!  \n This might well be an opportunity for the aspiring organist of the future….another Anna Lapwood\, who manages to fill large concert halls and huge Cathedrals for her performances!
